Tobias A. Marquette, SDES Group, LLC. Principal - Building Performance Analyst & Project Manager
After working for more than 10 years in the traditional residential and commercial construction industry, Tobias decided to change his focus to the renovation and construction of “high-performance” buildings. Along with his training and certification as a Building Analyst Professional, Tobias possesses a unique combination of building science knowledge and practical knowhow for developing and implementing comprehensive energy retrofit projects that stems directly from his extensive experience in the construction process from foundation to finish. On top of that, he spent years working in the HVAC industry installing high-efficiency gas, geothermal and co-generation systems. Tobias also has a strong background in community organizing. He has served as a member of the Carbon Coalition’s – Local Energy Committee Working Group, was Chair of the Rochester Energy and Sustainability Committee, co-founded the Rockingham/Strafford Energy Committee Alliance and the Barrington Energy Task Force, and is currently the Chair of the New England Grassroots Environment Fund – Grant Making Committee.
Mike Behrmann, M.S.E.L., SDES Group, LLC. Principal - Energy Analyst & Public Relations
Mike holds a BS from the University of New Hampshire in Environmental Conservation, along with a Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. His work involves actively pursuing opportunities for municipalities, businesses, and residential clients regarding energy efficiency and alternative energy generation. Mike has developed a number of innovative projects within New Hampshire and throughout the New England region. Prior to his returning to New Hampshire, Mike advanced clean energy legislation throughout New York State. In this role, he interacted extensively with non-profit leaders, as well as New York State and Federal representatives, to help craft the State Energy Plan, finalize New York’s participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, and educate communities across the State about large scale wind power developments. Mike’s love for community organizing finds him volunteering time to several efforts in New Hampshire, including serving as a member of the New Hampshire Carbon Coalition Local Energy Committee Working Group.
Dr. Clay Mitchell, Esq., Ph.D., SDES Group LLC. Principal – Legal & Planning
Clay has worked with local governments in New England for the last 12 years. He holds a Doctorate in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of New Hampshire and is a graduate of Vermont Law School with a JD and a Masters in Environmental Law. Clay’s primary focus is environmental law and energy project development. He participates at the local and state level, developing projects and policies that contribute to economic sustainability and secure energy resources for clients in the public and private sectors. In addition to many other volunteer activities, Clay is the President of the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Sustainable Energy Association, and the Chair of the Northeast Combined Heat and Power Initiative Board of Directors and is a member of the New Hampshire Carbon Coalition Local Energy Committee Advisory Group.
Christopher Dundorf, SDES Group, LLC. Principal - Building Performance Analyst/ Engineering & Design
Christopher has over 20 years of engineering, design and project management experience in a variety of industries, including construction, engineering, consulting and manufacturing. Chris holds a degree in Civil Engineering from University of New Hampshire and brings a diverse set of skills to the table, including solid modeling, computer simulations, structural analysis, project management, material procurement and working directly with vendors and customers. As a BPI Certified Building Analyst Chris is qualified to perform or oversee in-depth energy audits using the latest hardware and software modeling tools. He is interested in improving energy efficiency of buildings and the implementation of renewable energy systems, especially solar thermal and solar electric, in commercial, municipal, educational and residential structures. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends backpacking in the White Mountains of NH, running, sailing, diving and splitting firewood for their home.
